Karla Denise Voss Beck

Karla Denise Beck, 62, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, in Snyder, TX surrounded
by family and friends.

Born to Carl & Velda (Green) Voss on March 27, 1954 in Snyder, TX. She was preceded in
death by her parents and a brother, Cliff Voss.

A CELEBRATION OF DENISE'S LIFE will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Calvary Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Sherman, officiating.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Denise attended Snyder schools and was a member of the SHS graduating class of 1972. She
continued her education and graduated from Western Texas College. She married James
Weldon Beck on August 2, 1974 in Snyder, TX. Their home was blessed by the births of two
daughters, Jamie Beck Hatley and Jackie Beck Roberson.

The highlight of Denise’s life was being Nana to her five grandchildren: Cooper Layne Hatley,
Cole Allan Hatley, Carter Beck Roberson, Shayden Ray Hatley, and Taeler McCray Roberson.

Denise enjoyed the many relationships she made while working at the Scurry County Sheriff's
Department for 18 years before moving to Midland and working in the offices of Patterson
Drilling. After living in Weatherford, TX for several years, Denise and Weldon had recently
returned back to their home in Snyder.

Denise is survived by her husband of 42 years, Weldon of Hermleigh; three brothers, Terry of
Snyder, Vance of Brock, Vaughnie and wife, Jeana of Plainview; two daughters, Jamie and
husband, Corey of Hermleigh, and Jackie and husband, Eric of Snyder; two brothers-in-law, Joe
and wife, Sissy, and Brent and wife, Lisa, all of Midland; sister-in-law Kathy Harrell Voss of
Midland; nieces & nephews Tammy Voss, Jill Voss Wilson, Katie Voss Conner, Brendan Voss,
Kimber Beck Ottaberry, Kourtney Beck, Kelly Beck Jouett, Blair Beck and Connor Beck.

All who knew Denise loved her; she was truly an angel on earth. She was a beautiful soul who
was always humble, selfless and protective of those she loved most. Nothing gave Denise more
joy than watching her grandchildren, nieces and nephews in their many activities.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ray Page and his staff in Weatherford and Dr. Jim Burleson
and Cogdell Memorial Hospital staff in Snyder, as well as special friends, Tomi Beth Brooks and
Cynthia Hill of Weatherford and Stephanie Knipe of Snyder.
