Orlena Lay Obituary

Theirs was the great American love story. Orlena Lay married James Lay August 2, 1946. They spent over 70 years taking care of each other then passed away within days of each other. Courtney, their nurse, said that she wishes she can find a love like that.

Lola Orlena Lay was born in Roby, TX April 15, 1926 to Joe H and Emma Lloyd Morris. She met her sweetheart in heaven January 8, 2017, three days after his passing.

Orlena had a nurturing spirit. She was a nurse and a mother. Her great granddaughter, Hannah, became a nurse because of her. Orlena would do anything for her children and grandchildren. She spent a lifetime taking care of her family and worshipping God.
