W.C. Mcfatridge

W.C. (Dub) McFatridge, 76 years old, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born on January 23, 1941 in Direct, Texas to Bennie McFatridge and Lillie (Phillips) McFatridge.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Dub married Nancy Jane Edwards on September 9, 1963 and they had two children, Tonja and Weldon. Dub worked at Moffett's Grocery, beginning at the age of 16 until 1973, later he went to work at Southern Electric as a lineman until his retirement.

Dub was preceded in death by both his parents, his son, Weldon McFatridge; step-father, Buddy Phillips; his wife's parents, Ed and Janie Edwards; two sisters, Sherrie Smith and Brenda Botts; two brothers, Loveless and Bennie Ray McFatridge, three brothers-in-law, Shorty Halford, Eugene Good and Buddy Blackledge and a special friend, Arnim Moffett.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy, daughter Tonja McFatridge Ashworth, of Snyder, TX; daughter-in-law, Kim Blumenstock McFatridge, Ruidoso, NM; four grandsons, Chase Ashworth, Brad Ashworth, Jacob McFatridge and Clint McFatridge; one granddaughter, Heather McFatridge. Also surviving are ten sisters, Bennie Halford, Louise Ball and Nolan, Faye Blackledge, Linda Luna and husband Adolph, Jackie Jenkins and husband Delbert, Debbie Grice and husband Jimmy, all of Snyder, TX, Cathy Jones, Janie McFatridge, Rita McFatridge and Susan McFatridge, all of Paris, TX ; four brothers, Eddie Phillips of Snyder, TX, Ralph McFatridge and wife Janice, Richard McFatridge and Stephen McFatridge, all of Paris, TX, Also surviving are three brothers-in-law, Troy Botts Sr., (his coffee drinking buddy) of Snyder, TX, Robbie Smith of The Colony, TX and Carroll Edwards and wife Sherry of The Colony, and a sister-in-law, Pat Gray and husband Jack of Ft. Stockton, TX along with numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

Dub loved to deer hunt and went every chance he could. He also enjoyed going to the Coffee shop to "B.S." with his coffee buddies. His beloved dog, Sweet Pea will miss him dearly.

Funeral Service for Mr. McFatridge will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
