Becky Sue Lewis

Becky Lewis, 75 of Snyder, Texas passed away in her home on March 5, 2017 with family by her side. Born Rebecca Sue Sumerlin in Rotan, Texas on September 9, 1941 to Ellis and Willie Sumerlin, She graduated from Roby High School in 1960. The third of four sisters, Becky grew up horse back and traveled many miles to barrel races with her dad. She worked as a business manager at National Fuel in Snyder for more than 20 years and loved working in her yard planting and pruning trees and flowers. She attended Baptist ministries in Roby, Snyder and in Post.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Lewis will be held on Wednesday, March 08, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. Internment will follow at Roby Cemetery at 3:30 PM in Roby, TX. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Becky married Melvin Lewis of Snyder on May 21, 2001 in Junction, Texas. She is survived by her husband Melvin, two daughters, Jamie Killian and Sherri Young, both of Snyder, Stepson, Leddy Lewis and wife Denise of Snyder; two grandchildren, Ashley and J.D. Young of Post, step grandson, Zant Lewis; two great-grandsons, Everett and Wyatt Young of Post; three sisters, Peggy Koonsman and husband John Billy of Snyder, Patsy Stuart of Roby, Jackie Rowling of Corpus Christi and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, one niece, Christy Hudnall and brother-in-law, Richard Stuart.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
