Mrs. Donna Marie Stehley, 90, of Snyder, died April 27, 2017. She was born to John and Bernice Kraemer, December 23, 1926, in Frankfort, Kansas.
Graveside Service for Mrs. Stehley will be held Monday, May 01, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Reverend Dana Mayfield officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Donna attended Kansas State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology in 1948. She married James “Dutch” Stehley in August, 1950, and they resided in Kansas before relocating to Snyder in 1956. They were married for sixty years until his death in 2010.
A lifelong educator, Donna taught in Snyder for twenty-six years, at both Northeast and West elementary schools, until her retirement in 1986.
Donna was an active member of the Ladies’ Golf Association of the Snyder Country Club, the Cosmorama Study Club, and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Martha Ann Woman’s Club, Cogdell Ladies Auxillary and she was a lifetime member of the Texas State Teachers Association. She was an avid bridge player and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Snyder.
Donna is survived by two daughters, Jamie Hall, of Snyder, and Jacque Wallace and husband, Rick, of Buffalo, New York, as well as four grandchildren, Jimmy Hall of Jacksonville, Florida, Shannon Robinson of Enid, Oklahoma, Casey Ripa of Buffalo, New York, and Jayce Wallace, of Buffalo, New York. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Zoë and Grant Robinson and Carter and Cole Ripa.
