Robert Marion Mccommon

Mr. Robert M. McCommon, Sr., 90 of Snyder, TX died on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Snyder.

Funeral Service for Mr. McCommon will be held on Thursday, June 01, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. McCommon was born on January 24, 1927 in Chester, Texas, to B.B. and Iva Eola (Beason) McCommon. He married Evelyn (McCurley) on December 12, 1953 in Camden, Texas.

He worked 41 years with Gulf Oil ending up living in Snyder, Texas since 1965. They were bought out by Chevron. He retired from Chevron in 1989. He contracted back to Chevron for 12 more years. In all he had 54 years service in the oil business. He enjoyed his boys as they grew up. Especially hunting with them. He will be missed.

and several Great Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, B.B., and Iva Eola McCommon; Son, Robert M. McCommon, Jr. three brothers, Faubion, Bailey and Glenn Otis McCommon and two sisters, Gladys David and Iva Blackwell.
