John William Gayle

Mr. John William Gayle, 74 of Snyder, TX died on Monday, July 10, 2017 in Snyder.

Funeral Service for Mr. Gayle will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017, at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dave Blackwell officiating. Internment will follow Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Dallas, TX. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Gayle was born on June 04, 1943 in Kansas City, MO to Tony and Bettina Parker Wines.

Mr. Gayle was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served overseas. He completed his Masters in Business Administration at West Texas A&M. Shortly after he was the City Manager in Tulia for four years, Snyder City Manager for 26 years, and Granit Shoals City Manager for four years, before returning to Snyder. He was a Western Texas College Board of Trustees (1986-1992) and President 91-92, West Texas A & M University Alumni Association - President 79, Texas City Manager's Assn. Board of Directors 84-86, a member of Snyder Rotary Club - President 94-95, a member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, playing golf, and going to the movies.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
