Nona Carter Jones

Mrs. Nona (Hale) Carter Jones, 91 of Dallas, TX and formerly of Snyder, died on Saturday, August 05, 2017 in Dallas.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Jones will be held on Wednesday, August 09, 2017, at 10:00 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Rev. Layloni Drake officiating. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones was born on May 21, 1926 in Longworth, TX to Frank and Ida (Schubert) Hale. She married H.B. Carter on September of 1954 in Roswell, NM. He preceded her in death in 1980. She married Nelson Jones, several years later. He preceded her in death.

Nona, or mom as I prefer to call her was the strongest person I ever knew. She was tough, a west Texan of German heritage tough. She was also a kind woman with a warm sense of humor. In the evening before her death, I had a wonderful conversation with her and she laughed several times.

My mom and dad met when he was a store clerk in Abilene, in the early fifties, they were married in September 1954, I was born in October 1955. They loved each other with a passion. There is no doubt in my mind, there was a grand reunion in heaven. I can see them, and I believe they are happy.

Grandson:
Matthew Carter, Toronto, Ontario

Granddaughter:
Michelle Carter, Alexandria, VA

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 08, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
