She was very active with her grandchildren, Carrie, Clayton, Whitt and Michelle West, and later her two great-grandchildren, Will and Aubrey. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the Cogdell Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and an active bridge player.
She is survived by her son, John Richard West and wife, Serene, of the Philippines; her grandchildren, Carrie West of Bellevue, Whitt West and his wife, Amanda, of Omaha, Neb. and Michelle West of San Francisco, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Will and Aubrey.
In her normal spirit of giving, Margaret donated her earthly remains to the Texas Tech University Medical Science Center.
