Mrs. Vernest D. Tippens, 86 of Snyder,TX died on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Snyder.

Service for Mrs. Tippens will be held on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Chapel with Reverend Shannon Harrison, Reverend Earnest Ray Brandon and Reverend Tyrone Durst. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs.Tippens was born on Thursday, April 09, 1931 in Waco, TX to Willie Porter and Bessie(Lewis) Newsome.She married Clee Tippens Jr. on June 2, 1952 in Snyder, Tx. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1985. Mrs. Tippens was a city counsel member for many years and was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist church. She was a lifetime resident of Snyder.
