Anna Faye Walton

Anna Faye Cowan Walton, 87, of Snyder died Friday, September 24, 2021, in Abilene, Texas.

Services for Mrs. Walton will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Mr. James Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in the Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walton was born November 20, 1933, to Troy Cowan Jr. and Florence (Inman) Cowan. She graduated from Tahoka High School and then married Wayland Walton in 1950, who preceded her in death in 2008. She was an artist and quilter. She worked as secretary for First Baptist Church, where she also sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and served as a GA leader.  She worked for Dr. Best’s dental office, Scurry County Auditor’s office and served many years on the Snyder ISD school board.  She loved God, her family, and her community and had many friends.

Ann was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Scott Walton and Bryan Walton; three brothers, Wendal Cowan, Don Cowan, Carl Cowan, and her twin, Daniel Cowan; four sisters, Billie Jo Freeman, Sue Booth, T. Ann Jackson and Dee Baker.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 6:00 PM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
