Betty was well known for her exceptional cooking skills, which she shared generously with family and friends. Her culinary talents were put to good use not only in the kitchen, but also through countless hours working at school concession stands and church fellowships, always showing her love and care for those around her.
After retiring from teaching in 2007, Betty faced a brave battle with breast cancer and was thankful to be among the many who survived this challenging fight.
In 2008, Betty and Kenneth returned to their ranch in Fluvanna, where they enjoyed their days playing with their local bridge club, hosting family game nights, and, most importantly, spending time with their children and grandchildren. Betty was incredibly proud of her family, often speaking of her grandchildren and taking joy in attending their sporting events. Family game nights were a favorite tradition, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Betty's family was the center of her world, and her love for them was boundless.
