Billy David Poe

Billy David Poe went to Heaven on June 25, 2023 with an honorable Veterans Procession at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring, Texas at the age of 68 after a lengthy illness.

Billy David Poe was born June 15, 1955 in Snyder, Texas to Bill and Dorothy Poe.

After graduating Snyder High School, he joined the United States Navy and retired after 22 years of honorable Service as a Master Chief Petty Officer.  After the Navy he worked for the National Parks Service for 20 years on Padre Island.

Billy David loved to spend time with friends in Padre Island.  He loved riding his Harley and working in his shop.  He was a very caring man and was always ready to help someone in need.

Billy David is survived by his daughter, Allyson Denise Poe of Jacksonville, Florida, brother Gary Poe and wife Sammie of Snyder, Texas, sister Kathy Poe Austin and husband Ted of Jewitt, Texas, sister-in-law Sandi Poe of Snyder, Texas, many fine nieces and nephews and very close and dear friends Lanny & Michelle Remmer of Corpus Christi, Texas.  Also many, many good friends in the Corpus Christi area.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Joe Michael Poe.

A Memorial Service will be held in Corpus Christi, Texas on Padre Island, where he spent most of his life, at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Bell, Cypert Seale Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas.
