Mr. Billy Ray Terry, 88 of Snyder,TX died on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Sweetwater.

A private family service for Mr. Billy Ray Terry will be held and internment will be at Hillside Memorial Garden. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Billy Ray Terry was born on April 03, 1932 in Sweetwater to Tom and Edna (Armstrong), He married Allene Tyler on November 10, 1951 in Sweetwater. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1951-1955 as a machinist. He would then use his skills to work for 18 years at US Gypsum in Sweetwater before moving to Snyder to work at the Magnesium plant and Snyder Well Services as a mechanic working floors and later a welder. He would eventually work at Pool Service as a mechanic and also managed West TX Machine Shop before he finally retired with M.L. Duke working in his machine shop. Bill was an Eagle Scout, and served as a scout mater in Sweetwater for many years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist who was a servant for the Lord and worked many Walks to Emmaus.

Melody and Alexander McKleroy

He was preceded in death by his wife, Allene Terry, son, Ronald Terry, Daughter in Law, Cindy Terry, sisters, Inalee Gunnels, Evelyn Reeves, Maxine Warshaw and one brother Wayne Terry.

There is no visitation planned at this time.
