Brenda Martin

Memorial visitation for Ms. Brenda Martin will be held on Saturday, January 4th, at 2:00 pm at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church.

Brenda devoted her life to serving the Lord and His children. Whether it was through prison ministry, volunteering as the chaplain at the prison, or simply helping out any soul fortunate enough to meet her: she always showed the warmth and love that God blessed her with. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and spiritual mother who loved all with every bit of warmth that she had. She guided countless lives to the Lord and has brought souls once treated as forgotten and discarded into the loving arms of the Lord our God as prodigal children. 

Brenda married Tom Martin of Lamesa, TX on November 22, 1977. They shared 47 years of marriage, love, and laughter as they tackled all the challenges that came their way together. 

She is survived by spouse Tom Martin; daughter Deiann Davis; son Toby Dennis; daughter Stacie Hopson; daughter Shandi Martin; brother Keith Matthies; sister Susan Griffith; grandson Kasey Prichard; granddaughter Kaylei Tindol; grandson Kyle Davis; grandson Kolton Davis; grandson Trevor Burgess; grandson Casen Burgess; grandson Timothye Martin; granddaughter Breianna Barrington; granddaughter Braylei Pylant; great-grandchild Mckenna Tindol; great-grandchild Mason Tindol. 

She was preceded in death by Carl Matthies (Father), Polly Matthies (Mother), and Norman Matthies (Brother). 

She will be missed but is in the Kingdom of Heaven. Doubtlessly showing the angels how it's done and praising our Lord with friends and loved ones.
