Carllee Burleson

On Friday, May 24, 2019, Carllee Burleson, loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 78.

Services for Mr. Burleson will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at 2:00PM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Culwell officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Carl was born on December 26, 1940 in Lawton, OK to Lorena (Clark) and Travis Burleson. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southeastern State University and later earned an associate of respiratory therapy and was the head of respiratory therapy at Cogdell Memorial Hospital for 23 years. Mr. Burleson had a passion for farming and ranching, which became his full time job after retirement. On December 21, 1965, he married Lynda Gayle Fraley. They raised two children, Kyle and Angie. Carl, Gayle, and their family attended Colonial Hill Baptist Church from 1976 to present, where Carl had been a deacon for the past 15 years. Carl was an active member of the Lions Club, United Way, and Big Country Electric Co-Op. He was known for his quick wit, his smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church immediately following Memorial service.
