Mrs. Carolyn C. Harrington, 89 of Lubbock,TX formerly of Snyder died on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Lubbock.

Services for Mrs. Harrington will be held on Friday August 17, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Springs Fellowship Church in Lubbock with Dr. Phil McClendon officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harrington was born on Monday, October 29, 1928 in Ballinger, TX to Charles Will and Agnes May (Johnson) Cheatham. She married Howard Harrington on Tuesday, April 05, 1949 in Ballinger, TX. Carolyn worked as the secretary to Snyder Independent School District for 18 years. She then worked for the Snyder district clerk's office and retired after 10 years.

Carolyn Harrington was a sweet, kind and gracious women who died as graciously as she lived. She was a women of deep faith who impacted the lives of many, many people. She and Howard were active at Trinity United Methodist Church where they taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She was also involved with the Walk to Emmaus and mentored numerous young women.


She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Howard Harrington of Lubbock, TX. as well, one son Dell Harrington of Pfluggerville, Texas; daughter Jane Ann Lambert and her husband Jeff of Conroe, TX; daughter Beth Harrington of Monahans, TX and daughter-in-law Dixie Harrington of Lubbock, TX. Carolyn is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Jana Harrington Hall and her husband Rick, Mark Harrington and his wife Amanda, Seth Harrington and his wife Kristie, Holly Babb and her husband James, Chase Harrington, Justin Parker, Amber Parker, Amy Lambert, Brandell Lambert, Caryn Lambert Monk and her husband Chris, Jillian Lambert, Whitney Harrington McClendon and her husband Mark, and Lia Harrington. Her life was enriched by 13 great grandchildren: Ben Harrington, Charley Jo and Reese Harrington, Elyse and Lily Stracener, Avery and Owen Babb, Devyn and Dylan Lambert, Owen Monk, and Evelyn, Ellis and Emmeline McClendon.

She was preceded in death by her son Joe Charles Harrington and daughter-in-law Debra Buchanan Harrington.

Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Snyder, Wounded Warriors, or favorite charity of your choice.
