Celia Barrera, age 71 passed away peacefully in her home, October 21,2024 in Snyder, Texas. A rosary will be held Wednesday, October 23, from 7PM-8PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale.

Services for Celia Barrera will be on Thursday, October 24,2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Bell-Cypert-Seale in Snyder, with Deacon Bane officiating. Burial will follow at Snyder Cemetery in Snyder, Texas. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Celia was born in Snyder, Texas on January 31,1953 to Magdaleno Reyes and Francisca Quiros. The youngest of three girls, she graduated from Snyder High School. She worked with Snyder Independent School District as an Aide until she decided to attend San Angelo University to pursue a Teaching career. She worked as a Bilingual Educator for over 20 years for Snyder Independent School District before retiring.

She was married to her one true love, Manuel Barrera for 51 years. Celia and Manuel spent their years together traveling and supporting events for their grandchildren.  There is no doubt that family was the most important thing to her. She loved selflessly and lived her life with positivity and joyfulness every minute of the day. If you knew Celia, then know that you were loved, you felt it in her smile and her hugs.

She is survived by her husband Manuel Barrera, daughters, Marisa Harris Barrera and spouse Towanda Harris-Barrera, Amanda Tomasits and spouse Raymond Tomasits, Elvia Clarady and spouse David Clarady;5 brothers; Sotero Reyes, Flavio Reyes, Froilan Reyes, Angel Reyes and David Reyes,2 sisters Yolanda Becerra and Alicia Guerrero,13 Grandchildren; Cameron Clement, Richie Clement, Mateo Clement, Savannah and Jay Silva, Deric Wanderlich, Alex Wanderlich. Isaac Clarady, Cohen Tomasits, Luke Tomasits, Chloe Tomasits, Tyra and Troy Fielding, Anthony Arnold, Trevon Arnold, 3 Great Grandchildren; Milo Clement, Nevaeh Fielding and Anthony Ware.

Mrs. Barrera is preceded in death by her parents Magdaleno Reyes, Francisca Reyes and younger brother Magdaleno Reyes Jr.
