Danny Hayes Boyd

Danny Hayes Boyd, 70, of Snyder, Texas, born on July 1, 1953, passed away on May 11, 2024 after a long and brave battle with cancer. Services for Mr. Boyd will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Snyder, TX, with Reverend Ben Reid and Reverend Jim Gerlt officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Naomi Boyd, and his sisters Ann Boyd and Jimmie Turner.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy, his sons and spouses- Nathan and Jennifer Boyd, Keith and Kayla Boyd, Matthew and Sarah Boyd, and Michael Boyd, his beloved grandchildren, Amelia, Jane, Coleman, Milo, Ellis and Emmie, and his siblings Butch and wife Holly Boyd, Iris and husband Lynn Culpepper, and Dana Boyd.

Danny grew up in Slaton, Texas where he attended Slaton High School. He met the love of his life, Kathy O'Neal while working at Dillard's Department Store in Lubbock, Texas. After sharing pretzels during their break times and a brief courtship, they married on October 27, 1979. Danny began working in the eighth grade as a delivery boy, and later at a number of businesses, including United Supermarkets, Fleming Foods, Aramark, and his favorite job at First Baptist Church Snyder.

He enjoyed singing in the church choir, cookouts with his family and friends, gardening, a cold Dr. Pepper, and cornbread and sweet milk. Danny shared his love of the Lord, American history, and classic movies with his boys. His quick wit, steadfast faith, and beautiful bass singing voice blessed everyone who were fortunate enough to meet him. He was a man of real, true-to-his-word integrity - a protector - a selfless friend, and an obedient servant of the Lord. Danny will be deeply missed by all, but will live on through the family that he loved with all his heart.
