Mrs. Darlene Diane Stokes, 69, of Snyder, TX died on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder.
A Funeral Service for Mrs. Stokes will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Culwell officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stokes was born on October 20, 1953, in Knox City, TX to Chester Kenneth and Mary Magdalene (Morris) Abbott .She married David on August 15, 1981, in Snyder. Darlene taught Math for 39 years at schools in Lamesa, Ira, Elkhart, Snyder, and at WTC. After retirement, she worked for West Texas Animal Clinic. She was a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church and involved in Texas Retired Teacher Association. She enjoyed playing piano, gardening, hunting, and collecting a multitude of things such as trivets, coins, stamps, and other favorites. She loved getting together with her family for holidays, birthdays, hunting, fishing and anything that required spending time with one another. More than anything, she loved being a mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her

Carl and Doris Stokes; and

Jenny Valdez.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2023 from 5 PM to 6 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
