David Wright Davis

Mr. David Wright Davis, 73, of Snyder, TX, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Snyder at Goodlife Senior Living.

A memorial service for Mr. Davis will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018, 10:00 AM, at 37th St. Church of Christ with Mr. Bob Martin officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis was born on Thursday, September 14, 1944, in Snyder, TX to Willis Wright "Bill" and Nellie Mae (Neal) Davis. He married Kathy Crisp on January 22, 2000 in Snyder.

David left Snyder and eventually moved to Longview, TX where he raised his family. He later moved to Giddings, TX where he lived when he and Kathy married, and where he later retired from Bluebonnet Electric Co-op in 2005 after being with the company for 24 years. He and Kathy returned back to Snyder in 2010.

David was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved and was proud of his family and would have done anything for them. He loved nothing more than having his entire family gathered together. Anyone who knew him well knew how much he enjoyed making people laugh with his jokes, stories, and shenanigans. He passed his love of a good laugh to his girls, who loved to give it back to him, He was a member of the 37th Street Church of Christ, and he and his family appreciated all the visits and prayers for him by the church members. David treasured the friendships he made throughout his life. In recent years, he especially valued the friends that were like family to him at the Tiger Donut Shop.

David's family would like to thank Kindred Health and Hospice for the care they have provided to him over the last few years. They would also like to thank Goodlife Senior Living for the abundant love, compassion, and care they gave David in the last few weeks.
