Mr. Douglas Wayne Burney, 72 of Snyder,TX died on Monday, June 28, 2021 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, Texas.

Services for Mr. Burney will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Reverend Ron Davis officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Garden. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Burney was born on October 25, 1948 in Snyder, TX. to Douglas and Della Mae (Austin) Burney. He married JoAnn Rodgers on May 31, 1969 in Snyder, TX.

Wayne worked for Snyder Daily News as an Advertising Manager for over 35 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved life and had a great sense of humor. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. He liked to read, watch westerns and Star Trek. He loved all sports and especially Ranger Baseball and Cowboys Football.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
