Elaine Ann (Causey) Galyean, 74, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, August 1, 2022 surrounded by her family.
A funeral service for Mrs. Galyean will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10 AM with Pastor Ben Reid officiating. Interment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
Mrs. Galyean was born January 14, 1948 in Seminole, TX to Jim and Bessie (O'Keeffe) Causey. She grew up in Denver City, TX where she graduated high school in 1966. She married the love of her life, Edwin Galyean, on September 8, 1968 in Denver City before moving to Snyder, TX in 1971. Ann was a long time member of the Snyder First Baptist Church and she worked for Western Texas College as a secretary and then as a registrar from 1980 until her retirement in 2018. She was also a proud 23 year breast cancer survivor. She loved sewing and made beautiful quilts and her love for the color purple was unmatched. Ann loved her husband, her family and, most of all, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith was always bigger than her fear.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Edwin.

Niece Adelia Barker and her husband Joe Churchill of Snyder.
Great-niece Hannah Sandoval, her husband Joshua and their children Kambree, JD, James, Jon and Henley of Snyder.
Great-niece Hope Barker and her son I’zlan of Lubbock, TX.
Great-niece Jasmine Churchill and her children Attis and Lily of Lubbock, TX.
Cousins Holly Lemons and her husband Jay of Dexter, MO and Howard Gayle of Eastland, TX.
Her beloved cats Trouble, Kitty Kitty and Survivor.
And countless friends, extended family members and community members that assisted in this journey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Bessie, her older brother, James Causey, mother and father-in-law Edgar and Era Galyean, dearest aunt and uncle, Ed and Dolores Gayle, cousin, Mark Gayle and her beloved great-nephew Jonathon Devitt.
In lieu of flowers Ann asked for contributions to be made to the Western Texas College Scholarship Fund or the First Baptist Church Benevolent Fund.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Jodi Dering for being a phenomenal caregiver and companion to Ann and Edwin during this time of need. As well as Cogdell Memorial Hospital staff, home health, rehab and hospice for taking such outstanding care of Ann with a special thanks to Dr. Kevin Hough, Dr. David Kerr, Dr. Teb Thames, Jared Hough and Ali Huestis.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 6 PM to 7 PM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
