Evangelina B. Ramos

Evangelina Barrera Ramos, 81, of Snyder, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2023.

Evangelina was born in Loraine, Texas, on March 3, 1942, daughter of Jose and Ambrosia Barrera. She married Margarito Ramos in 1958, and went on to have nine children. She was a member of the Guadalupanas of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Evangelina loved volunteering at the church and being an active member of the community. Along with raising her children, she had many hobbies including decorating and creating floral arrangements.

Evangelina is preceded in death by her husband, Margarito Ramos, sons, Mark Ramos and Augustine Ramos and granddaughter Melinda Pineda-Ramos.

She is survived by her sons Margarito Ramos Jr., Edward Ramos, Arthur Ramos and Elias Ramos (wife Michelle Ramos) of Snyder, Texas. She is survived by her daughters Sylvia Salazar of Coahoma, Texas, Thelma Ramos-Ochoa (husband Rosauro Ochoa) of Surprise, Arizona, and Margarita Roberts (husband James Roberts) of Peoria, Arizona.

Evangelina also has 5 sisters, 5 brothers, 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A Rosary will be read on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 6:30 PM, by John Bane at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home, 3101 College Avenue in Snyder, Texas.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1311 Avenue K in Snyder, Texas. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
