Mr. Frank Maynor Miller, 93 of Snyder,TX died on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, Texas.
Services for Mr. Miller will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 10:00 AM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Miller was born April 11, 1927 to Givens Carpenter Miller Sr. and Jewel Flemming (Dukes) Miller. He married Carol Westbrook January 22, 1950 in Bronte, TX. Carol preceded him in death February 9, 2019. Frank was a school principal. He started his teaching career the fall of 1950-1952 in Bronte, TX as a math teacher. He worked for Snyder Independent School District for 34 years. He taught Industrial Arts and Math at Snyder High School. He served as principal at both West and North Elementary schools. He had a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Masters of Education from Texas A & M. He was a life member of NEA, TSTA, NAEP (National Asso. of Elementary Principals) TAEP (Texas Asso. of Elementary Principals). Frank was still an active member of the Rotary Club and has been a member since 1965 and was Secretary for 23 yrs. Frank received his initial Paul Harris Fellow award in May of 1998 and achieved level 3 in 2003. He was also a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church where he participated in the initial broadcast of televised services on Sunday morning's. He was also active with the Sunday early morning men's Bible school class. The example of the Lord's work in his cohort allowed him acceptance in his life of the transcendency in his conscience. Frank served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was honored with the Mayor's Service Recognition Award for Snyder in 2001.
