Mr. George David Adams, 79, of Snyder, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 15, 2022, in Abilene,TX.
Mr. Adams was born on August 27, 1942 in Tahoka,TX, to James Douglas and Florence (Perry) Adams. He married Billie Faye Tompkins on May 28, 1964 in McCamey,TX. They shared 58 years of marriage. His lifetime career was in education, teaching high school and jr. high math for 30 years in Snyder, and driving a bus for 40 years.
Member and deacon of Colonial Hill Baptist Church, George lived his life as a servant to God and helper to everyone around him. A skilled handyman, he completed projects for his own family and for many others. Together, he and Billie volunteered hundreds of hours through Church Builders and other organizations. He donated gallons of blood to the blood bank.
Creative interests included gardening, writing poetry, and fashioning many beautiful items from wood. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, especially in Colorado.

Mikayla, Anna Elizabeth, Andrew, and Sarena Huisman, Waco,TX; Katie and Maggie Adams,VA Beach, VA.
Preceding him in death are
Parents, James Adams, Sr. & Florence Adams; Brothers, James Adams, Jr., Wendell Moore; and Son-in-law Steve Huisman.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 10:00 AM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy J. Culwell officiating. Internment will follow at Tahoka Cemetery, 2:00 PM. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
