George Delbert Merritt

Mr. George Delbert Merritt, 92 of Lubbock,TX died on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his home in Lubbock.

Services for Mr. Merritt will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with with Reverend Clay Giddens officiating. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Merritt was born on December 21, 1926 in Snyder, TX to Edwin and Ruby (Lee) Merritt. He married Letha Orea Woodard on June 11, 1949 in Snyder, TX. George was a US Army Veteran and Merchant Marine and has a brick at the Veteran's Memorial in Lubbock. He loved to fish and hunt and the great outdoors. He had his own rose garden and was always planting fruit trees.
