Glen Hoyle Holladay 1935-2023

Glen Hoyle Holladay was called home to heaven Sunday, March 19, 2023. The lifelong Scurry county resident was 87.

He married Joan Ford on July 30, 1957 at First Baptist Church Snyder where he was a member. The couple was married 65 years. He was employed with the Western Company for 36 years.

He is survived by his Wife, Joan Holladay, Snyder, TX;

1 Daughter,

Denise Erekson and husband Ronnie, Wauchula, FL;

3 Sons,

Tracy Holladay and wife Deanna, Snyder, TX, Greg Holladay and wife Shonni, Farmington, NM, and Adam Holladay and wife Jackie, Mcallen, TX;

9 Granddaughters,

Sara Holladay, Rachel Holladay, Callee Holladay, Tessa Holladay, Naomi Erekson, Ruth Erekson, Anna Lommerse, Abigail Erekson, and Rebekah Collom;

2 Great Grandchildren, Tyrell and Payton Gleason; and

2 nephews, Kirk and Brent Holladay.

He was preceded in death by his

Parents, Glen and Laura Holladay;

Sisters, Juanita and Rose Nell;

1 Brother, Hal Holladay; and

1 Grandson, Tyrell Holladay.

A Graveside service will be held at Hillside Memorial Gardens on Thursday morning at 10 AM officiated by Reverend Ben Reid of First Baptist Church Snyder.

Serving as Pallbearers are Fred Cross, David Strunk, Dana Evans, Mark Harless, Carl Smith, and Jim Brooks.

May Hoyle always fish 'til sunset.
