James Burton Sandefur

James Burton Sandefur passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on June 16, 1951, Burton was 70 years old, leaving behind a legacy of treasured memories for his family and friends to cherish.

Services for Burton will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas. Interment will follow at Pyron Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.

Burton was a Project Manager for DSA Construction Management but wore many hats over his lifetime. From farming cotton to framing houses, he had a wealth of knowledge and was more than a "jack of all trades;" he was a master at most all of them. He had a passion for carpentry and construction and a love for his shooting club. However, nothing compared to the love he had for his wife of 51 years, his "Deborah dear".

Debby and Burton were married on February 14, 1970 in the home of Bill and Betty McLennan, Debby's parents, shortly after graduating high school in 1969. As their family expanded, so did their circle of friends. Burton never met a stranger, always had a laugh, and unfailingly left you with a smile. More than a husband, father, and brother, Burton was many things to many people. A cheerleader to those who needed support. A teacher to those who needed to learn. A confidant for those who needed to share. A rock for those who needed to steady. He was loved by many, adored by all, and will be missed every day.
