James Craig Merritt

Mr. James Craig Merritt, 75 of Snyder, TX died on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Snyder.

Services for Mr. Merritt will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at  2:00 PM  at Colonial Hill Baptist Church  with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson  officiating. Internment will follow at Snyder Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Merritt was born on June 22, 1946 in Snyder, TX to Reverend Cone and Florine (Bullard) Merritt. He married Janet Martin on September 7, 1965 in Snyder, Texas, sharing 56 years of marriage. Mr. Merritt owned an oilfield trucking company for many years and proudly served as County Commissioner for Precinct 2. 2. He was an avid hunter, supporter of Scurry County Livestock Show. He loved God, his country, and more than anything, his friends and family.
