Mr. James I. Farmer, Jr., 69 of New Braunfels,TX passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 11, 1949 in Wichita Falls, Texas, he was the son of the late James I. Farmer, Sr. and Veta Fern Giles Farmer.
James is survived by his wife, Shirley Farmer; children Jennifer Farmer Baker and husband Jasper, Tony Farmer and wife LeeAnn, Jennifer Nelms Boyce and husband Ronnie, Crystal Nelms Voss and husband Matt and Lisa Nelms Willard. Twelve grandchildren, Kyndra Coppedge, Karley Slaughter, Madelynn Baker, Shelby Farmer, Talon Farmer, Ty Farmer, Ashton Boyce, Dalton Boyce, Charles (Bubba) Cochran, Colton Moore, John Levario, and Tyler Finlay. Five great-grand children Cali Coppedge, Cayden Coppedge, Charlotte ( Charli) Coppedge, Peyton Cochran and Carter Cochran.
Jimmy loved participating in and promoting drag racing, he didn't get the nickname five-0 Farmer for nothing. His motto was work hard and play harder and he lived it everyday. He loved his family and friends. He always enjoyed having people around, and everyone knew it. He made a living as a salesman and if you had something to sell Jimmy could find someone to buy it.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 2 o'clock PM at Lighthouse Assembly of God with Reverend Danny Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
