James Edward "Jimmy" Singletary, Jr.

Mr. James Edward "Jimmy" Singletary, Jr., 76 of Hermleigh,TX died on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Odessa Medical Center Hospital in Odessa,TX.

Services for Mr. Singletary will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Reverend Rocky Allexander officiating. Internment will follow at Dunn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Singletary was born on September 15, 1945 in Palestine, TX to James Edward and Loraine (Burnett) Singletary. He married Theresa Pledger on February 12, 2000 in Marathon, TX. He served in the US Navy for 4 years and worked for 10 years as a firefighter and paramedic for Palestine Fire Department. Jimmy retired from the state of TEXAS from TDCJ as a kennel sergeant. He helped open up the Price-Daniel Unit here in Snyder. He also retired in 2000 from the Scurry county sheriffs office.

Kenneth Singletary and wife Cindy, Palestine, TX

14) Grandchildren:

Cody, Loren, Leigha, Bryce, Sarah, Hannah, Kylie, Cole, Danielle, Cash, Braylee, Kolt, Jhett, and Berklee

9) Great Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Loraine Singletary

Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM Monday, November 15, 2021at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
