Janice Hollister

February 16, 1941 — September 30, 2019

Janice White Hollister, 78, passed away peacefully September 30, 2019 at her home in Abilene, Texas.
She was born February 16, 1941 in Snyder, Texas to Houston and Virginia (Neal) White on February 16, 1941.
After graduation from Snyder High School in 1959, she married Ron Hollister of Snyder, in 1961.
She was co-owner of Hollister’s Department Store in Albany, Texas from 1971 to 1991 and developed many friendships there.
In later years, she moved to Abilene and had a credit counseling company in the First National Bank Building, where she helped countless families, regain their financial independence.
Most recently, she returned to her true passion, “fashion” and had a jewelry table at Elegante Suites, in Abilene. She enjoyed visiting with everyone and helping them accessorize, with the most recent styles.
Janice was a devoted and selfless mother to her three boys but, her greatest joy was her loving role as Grandma, to her five grandchildren. She enjoyed every opportunity that she had to be with them and had great pride in displaying their photos, throughout her home.
She was also a loyal friend, always willing to give whatever she had, to help others.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Eddie.
Janice is survived by her Ex-husband, Ron Hollister of Buffalo Gap, TX. Son Mark and his wife Chris Hollister of Keller, TX. Son Jeff and his wife Lydia Hollister of Littlefield, TX. Son Jason and his fiancé Heather Mathews of Missoula, MT. Brother Jerry and his wife Lisa White of Abilene, TX.
Granddaughters Skylar and Hannah Hollister of Littlefield, TX. Katy Laird-Hollister of Bozeman, MT and Maevis Mathews of Missoula, MT. Grandson Andrew Laird-Hollister of Bozeman, MT.
Cousin and life-long friend Wanda Stipe and her husband Mike of Snyder, TX.
Nephew Harley Harper of Canyon Lake, TX . Great Nephews Jacob Curtis of Austin, TX and Lucas Harper of Canyon Lake, TX.
Best friend Brenda Wills of Abilene, TX. Four-Legged companion Lilly of Abilene, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm October 4 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Perry Westmoreland of 37th Street Church of Christ, officiating.
