Mr. Jimmy Don Williamson, 82 of Hermleigh,TX died on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Hermleigh.

Services for Mr. Williamson will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating. Internment will follow at Pyron Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Jimmy Don Williamson was born at his Uncle August Chynack’s farm, on June 13, 1938, in Pyron, Texas, and was the son of the late Roy Williamson and Burthina Hinkell Williamson. He loved to go as a child to visit his grandfather, Doc Hinkell’s homesteaded in Pyron, Texas and play on the trackers.

He was united in holy matrimony to Verna Jo Savage on June 6, 1958 in Snyder, Texas. This union was blessed with four children.

Jimmy Don Williamson worked for several years in Snyder Texas at Lease Equipment as a Field Supervisor. When he resided in the Dallas- Fort Worth area, he ventured into several business opportunities from Housing construction and development, to proprietor of a Sanitation Service in the Grapevine-Southlake-Keller Texas areas. Following this investment, he and his wife moved to Midland Texas, and became owner and operator of a trucking company. Retirement led him to Hawley Texas, and finally back home, to his roots, in Hermleigh, Texas.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his main love was being involved with his wife and children’s activities. He served as a Hermleigh ISD board member for several years. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Verna Jo Savage Williamson and Children and their spouses, Joe Don & Tracy Williamson, James and Irma Williamson, John and Lori Williamson; and daughter and husband Jackie and Brian Stephens. In addition, he had 10 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jimmy Don Williamson is proceeded in death by his parents and sister Peggy Patty.

Our hearts have been made to rejoice during the illness and passing of our loved one by the many acts of kindness extended to our family. Your prayers and all expression of love and sympathy are greatly appreciated. May God’s blessings of peace and love continue with you forever.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 6-7 PM at Bell Cypert Seale.
