John Edward Cline

Mr.John Edward Cline, 74 of Snyder,TX died on Saturday, February 02, 2019 in Lubbock.

Services for Mr. Cline will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home with Hospice Chaplin Kinney Robinson officiating. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

John was born on December 21, 1944 in Plainview, TX to Mae Elizabeth Scantlan and Charles Beckham Cline, Sr. He married Linda Martin on December 22, 1984.

Mr. Cline was a certified shorthand court reporter and served as the District Court Reporter for the 132nd Judicial District of Texas from 1964 through 2000. He was the Official Court Reporter for the Grand Lodge of Texas from 1969 until his death and the Official Court Reporter for the Grand Chapter and Council and the Grand Comandery of Texas from 2002 until his death. He was Past President and Past Board Member of the Texas Court Reporters Association and a member of the National Court Reporters Association.

Mr. Cline was a Past Master of Scurry Lodge #706 and charter member of Tranquility Lodge #2000. He held various offices in the York and Scottish Rites of Freemasonary and was a member of the Suez Shrine. Mr. Cline received the Sam Houston Medal from the Grand Lodge of Texas, the Knights Templar Cross of Honor of the Grand Commandery of Texas, the DeMolay Legion of Honor, and the Golden Trowel from Scurry Lodge.

John is survived by:

A Rosary will be held at 6:30 on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
