John Edly Reed

Mr. John Edly Reed, 84, of Snyder,TX, died on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his home in Snyder.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Reed will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson and Pastor Reid Johnson of Colonial Hill Baptist Church officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Reed was born on May 29, 1938 in Dallas, TX, to Harry H. and Mabel (Pritchett) Reed.He married Sue Clark on June 6, 1958, in Snyder, Texas. He owned and operated Clark Lumber Company until 1980. He later joined his family at Southern Electric and retired in 2008. He served on Snyder City Council and was a member of Colonial Hill Baptist Church. he proudly served on the Board of Directors for Snyder National Bank for several years. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Men's Golf Association.

Taylor James and husband Crawford, Lubbock, TX;

5 Great Grandchildren,

Laney Long, Reed Long, Xander Reed, Penny Reed, and Huxley James;

David Reed and Jeff Reed; and

1 Niece,

Meredith Belk.

He was preceded in death by his

Parents, Harry and Mabel Reed;

1 Daughter, Camille Reed, and

1 Brother, H. Herbert Reed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 6 PM to 7 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
