Joseph Terrell Williamson, 97 of Snyder,TX died on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder.

Services for Mr. Williamson will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Mr. Bobby Clark officiating. Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Joseph Terrell Williamson was born In Lubbock, Texas to Terrell and Willie Mae Williamson September 15, 1921. He was a 1939 graduate of Colorado City High School and played in the band. He played in the Texas Tech Band in 1939-40. He met, fell in love and married Joyce Rees. They were married on November 2, 1941 in Westbrook, Texas and had 67 beautiful and happy years together. Joyce died on March 18, 2009. They were the proud parents of Linda Jane, Jay Terrell and Jodi Gale. They were the proud grandparents of 8 grandchildren. Todd Maroney, Jana(Maroney) Fariss (husband Monty), Aubin (Maroney) Pope, Seth Williamson, Jayme (Williamson) Severson (husband Jeff), Julie (Williamson) Kunkle (husband Kurt), Jayne (Williamson) Huggins (husband Ben), Brooke Williamson and 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He has 1 sister, Yvonne Koertge of Indianapolis, Indiana and was preceded in death by 1 sister Madalynne Jones.

During his 64 years in Snyder, America, along with his many insurance awards, some of Joe's contributions to his community included:Past President of Snyder Chamber of Commerce, Past president of Snyder Country Club, Past president of Snyder Kiwanis Club, First President of Western Texas College Booster Club, Past President of Snyder Quarterback Club, Past President of Snyder Shriner Club, Knights Templar & 32nd degree Mason and a Member of First United Methodist Church. Joe was full of life and one of a kind. He will be missed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 6 PM to 7 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
