Services for Kathy Wilson will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10 AM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church in Snyder, with Pastor Reid Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery at 4 PM in Stephenville, Texas. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Kathy was born in Hico, Texas on November 11th of 1953 to Margaret and T.H. Anderson. The youngest of three girls, she graduated from Stephenville High School and later attended and graduated from Tarleton State University.
She met and married her first love, David Ward in 1975. They lived in Stephenville until his death in 2001. During this time Kathy was a police officer, schoolteacher, and, most importantly to her, a homemaker.
In 2004, Kathy married her second love Charlie Wilson. Kathy and Charlie spent their years together at countless classic car shows, events for their grandchildren, and traveling the country. She was even a race car driver!
Kathy never met a stranger and was a friend to many, many wonderful people. These friends were considered family to her. In her words strangers were friends she had not met yet. Kathy lived life to the fullest and enjoyed the little things in life, most importantly she loved to laugh.
There is no doubt that the only thing stronger than Kathy’s love of her family is the trust she had in the Lord Jesus Christ. The family knows that she is in the presence of the almighty Lord and rejoicing with family at this moment.
The memory of Kathy will be one of constant grace, love, and dignity to everyone she loved.
She was preceded in death by her Father T.H. Anderson, Mother Margaret Anderson, Sister Darlene Powers, and First husband David Ward.
She is survived by husband Charlie Wilson of Snyder, Texas; son and daughter-n-law, Todd and Pam Ward of Stephenville, Texas; son and his fiancé, Nathan Scott Ward and Cyndal Mateja of Georgetown, Texas. Sister Linda Bundock and husband Jim of Crowley, Texas. Stepson and daughter-n-law, David and Amy Wilson of Midland, Texas. Stepdaughter Renee' Waggoner of Whitesboro, Texas. Stepson Chris Wilson and Stepdaughter Linda Wilson. Kathy was blessed with 11 grandchildren, multiple great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
