She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Chardola of Katy, Texas, her step-grandchildren Lindsey Coffman and Justin Langford, her step-great granddaughter, Claire, her beloved nieces Mary McDonald, Sharla Bredemeyer and Chrystal Brim, nephews Jerry Stuard and Steve Rollins and many beloved cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Welborn, her parents, Dewey and Hettie Rollins, her sister Christine Stuard and her brother Gerald Rollins.
Lynn moved from Snyder to Midland in 1956. She worked as a secretary for several oil companies throughout her long career. Widowed at the age of 39, she became the sole support of herself and her daughter.
Lynn was a wonderful mother with a great sense of humor and zest for life. On road trips she and Teresa would sing songs, make jokes and quiz one another on state capitals. At the age of 90, she was still witty and enthusiastic about the simplest pleasures in life. She was very creative and loved to decorate her home, refinish furniture, sew, and paint. She loved clothes and fashion and would never leave her house without putting on the perfect outfit; complete with earrings and makeup. She loved music and played both the piano and organ. She enjoyed friends of all ages and had many pets throughout her life who were always considered as part of the family.
In 2012, Lynn moved from Midland to Katy and bought a house a few blocks from her daughter.
Teresa was fortunate enough to share the next 12 years of her life with Lynn. Lynn made many new friends in Katy and loved each and every one of them as they did her.
Lynn loved life in both good and bad times. Her laughter and great kindness towards others was a joy to all that knew her. Lynn was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
