Margie Cary Glasscock was born on February 15, 1933 in Lubbock, TX to Alvin Earl and Oreon Cora (Franks) Cary. The family lived in Brownfield for many years but moved back to Lubbock where she graduated from Lubbock Senior High School in 1950. She attended Droughan's Business College in Lubbock and it was during that time when she met Odis Dee Glasscock, whom she married on November 21, 1952. They moved to Snyder in 1954 to raise a family. She moved to Abilene in 2021 to be closer to her daughters and resided at Wisteria Place Independent Living where she made new friends whom she loved. She was an incredibly strong person with much independence. She raised her four children alone after her husband passed away in 1971.
