Marshall Lee Burrus

Marshall Lee Burrus passed Saturday, September 5th, 2020 surrounded by family.
Marshall was born to Lee and Ethel Burrus on August 7th 1934 in Loraine TX. Marshall graduated from Big Spring High School and later served in the Texas National Guard in 1952 - 1961.  Marshall met the love of his life Shirley Rogers and married on April 18th, 1958. Marshall and Shirley with family moved to Snyder in 1966. He devoted his career to John Deere and the farmers of Mitchell, Scurry, and surrounding counties retiring with 42 years at Key Brothers Implement Company.

He was an active member of Colonial Hill Baptist where he served as a Deacon. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and enjoyed volunteering for the Texas Ramp project and the Scurry County Food Bank.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley, of the home. Daughters, Pam, husband Randy Golden of Spring TX, Marsha, husband Mike Jordan of Colorado City TX, sons Randy of Geronimo TX, Roger, wife Angie, of Haltom City TX. Grandchildren: Maegan Golden, Ryan Golden of Spring TX, Brittany Burrus and husband Vince Angello of New Braunfels, Bethany Burrus and fiancé Cesar Juarez of Kyle TX, Ty Burton of Frisco TX, Ashton Burton of Savannah GA. Two great grandchildren: Braxton and Baylor Angello of New Braunfels TX. He is survived by a sister, Ivy and husband Doyle Graham of Sweetwater TX  brother in law Dealon and wife Dean, sister in laws Jean Morris and Patsy Dossman, brother in law Billy Rogers. Numerous nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister, Patsy Stanley. Sister in law Kay Rogers, brother in laws Price Morris and Doyle Dossman.

Family visitation will be held Monday September 7th, 2020 at Bell Cypert - Seale Funeral Home at 6:00pm - 7:00pm .

Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 8th, 2020 at 2:00pm , at Colonial Hill Baptist Church in Snyder Tx. Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson, and Pastor Reid Johnson will officiate.  Internment will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
