Mrs. Matilda Guzman, dedicated wife and mother of five, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the age of 78.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 6 to 7 PM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Snyder, Texas.
Mrs. Guzman was born on July 24, 1944, in New Braunfels, Texas, to Antonio and Gregoria (Benavides) Gutierrez. She married the love of her life, Israel Guzman, Sr., on January 20, 1962 and they treasured their marriage for the last 60 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma to her family. Mrs. Guzman was a faithful and longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was a woman of faith that radiated joy and positivity. She was a strong prayer warrior and prayed her Rosary daily. She loved sharing her faith with family and friends and loved giving advice to her family. Mrs. Guzman loved being outside, loved her Fox News, and her Hallmark movies, but more than anything, she loved her family.

Loving husband, Israel Guzman of Snyder, Texas;
2 Sons,
Richard Guzman and wife Gloria and John Henry Guzman and wife Heather;
2 Daughters,
Dora Martinez and husband Bennie and Monica Ortegon and husband Israel, all from Snyder, Texas;
Daughter in Law,
Sally Guzman of Lubbock, Texas;
2 Sisters and 3 Brothers
Also 25 Grandchildren,
Crystal, Jessica, Annette, Natalie, Alex, Connie, and Adrian Martinez, Sandra Guzman and Dylan Sandoval, Amara Guzman, Israella Rodriguez, Bobbie Sanches, Robert Vega, Joel, Gabriel, and Laura Oretgon, Priscilla Fletcher, Breanna, Keeley and Dalilah Guzman, Purseyis, Savanna, and Lane Valenzuela, and Desiree and Talan Godina;
38 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great - Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Israel Jr., a grandson, Jonathon, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
