Mike Otto

Mr. Freddy Michael "Mike" Otto, 78 of Snyder,TX died on Friday, December 28, 2018 at his home in Snyder.

Services for Mr. Otto will be held on Wednesday, January 02, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home with Pastor Elwin Collum officiating. Internment will follow at Polar Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Mike was born on Saturday, February 10, 1940 in Pecos, TX.. He married Connie Springer on Saturday, May 06, 1989 in Snyder, TX. She preceded him in death on March 29, 2018. Mike was an educator. He started teaching in Fluvanna, Tx. then Ira ISD and then taught for 15 years as a chemistry professor at Western Texas College. Mike finished his career as a chemist, working in the lab for Reef Chemical.

Mike, fondly known as "Poppy" to family and friends, was full of life and ornery to the core. His boisterous laugh could fill a room, and he was always looking for a way to bring humor to life's situations. He frequently reminded people that "idiocy skips generations" and to not be "an Igmoo".
Mike took great pride in the successes of his boys, but he truly lived to brag and focus on all that his grandchildren participated in. He devoted his last years to care-taking for his beloved wife, Connie, as she battled Parkinson's disease. The love for family and friends and the positive outlook Mike took on life has helped to mold and shape everyone who crossed his path to be better than they were before meeting him
