Milton Schley Adams

April 17, 1931 — July 28, 2024

Milton Schley Adams "Father" and "Granddad" passed away peacefully at home with hospice care in Abilene, Texas. He was born April 17, 1931, to Milton Adams and Mabel Joyce Adams in Sweetwater, Texas. Milton had great memories of growing up in the Hermleigh and Pyron, Texas area. His first year of college was at Tarleton State in Stephenville, Texas but finished college at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.

He was a big fan of the Red Raiders.

Milton was a Petroleum Engineer and worked in many states. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading. The hunting was just to watch the deer and video tape. And, of course, watching the news.

He married Paula Hunka on August 7, 2007, in Midland, Texas. They were introduced by mutual friends. In 2008 they moved to their home in Hermleigh, Texas and went to 37th Street Church of Christ, making very dear friends. In
2013, they moved to Abilene to be closer to doctors.

Milton is survived by his wife of almost 17 years, Paula Adams; son Guy Jay Adams; daughter Debra Miller and her husband Marty; grandchildren: Erin Adams, Adam Miller, Kendall Jones and husband Randy, and Brady Adams and wife Lacohn; and six wonderful great grandchildren: Emory Jones, Sawyer Jones, Serenity Miller, Benny Miller and Truitt Adams.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Zinke Adams; his parents, brother Guy Joyce Adams and son
Herbert Randall Adams.

A visitation will be held at Bell-Cypert-Seale funeral home, located at 3101 College Avenue, in Snyder, Texas on Sunday, August 4, from 6-7 p.m. The funeral service will take place Monday, August 5, at 10:00 a.m. at the same funeral home. Interment to follow in Pyron Cemetery. Arrangements are under the the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.

Milton will always be remembered for his stories and play on words. He had a great sense of humor and was very loving. Sadly Missed, Always Remembered, Forever Loved.

The Adams family would also like to thank the following: Dr. Ryali, Dr. Kalla, Dr. Mavic, and all the loving people of Alpha Omega Hospice.

Memorials can be made to: Alpha Omega Hospice in Abilene.
