Patricia (Pat} Hess passed peacefully at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama at 8 AM on July 3, 2023 with her husband of 64 years, Delbert, by her side.
Pat was born in Arlington, Texas on October 22, 1935, to Elma C (RAS) and Jettie Ruth Curry. She had one sibling, Robert Earl (deceased). She was raised in Dalworthington Gardens near Arlington, and graduated from Arlington High School in 1954. She Attended Arlington State University and later transferred to Texas Tech University, graduating with a BS degree in Home Economics in 1958. She met Delbert Hess while at Texas Tech and they were married on August 30, 1958 in the Arlington United Methodist Church. She and Delbert continued to be active in the Methodist Church throughout their married life of 64 years. They had three children: Ken (Georgeen). Valinda (Mark), and Kirk (Amy) and seven grandchildren: Tyler. Tanner (Virginia), and Tate Hess; Cutter and Gray Green; Laurie Ella and Kenleigh Hess.
Pat taught Home Economics in High Schools in Cambridge, Wisconsin; Madison, Wisconsin; Derby, Kansas and Plainview, Texas and spent many years being a great Mom to her three children while also supporting Delbert in his Career. She loved to paint and left many paintings valued highly by her family. She loved to play bridge and became a Life Master in 2000. She was an active PEO member while living in Abilene, Texas, having served as President of the local chapter.
Pat and her smile will be dearly missed by family and friends far and wide.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert Seale funeral home in Snyder, Texas with a visitation being scheduled for 1:00 PM on July 12th and a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at the Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder at 3:00 PM.
