Robert "Bob" Lewis Jordan

January 13, 1936 — March 23, 2020

R. L. (Bob) Jordan

Bob passed away at his home in Fluvanna, TX on Monday, March 23, 2020. Bob was born to Joe and Grace Jordan on January 13, 1936 in Blackwell, TX.; the youngest of seven children. His early years were spent in Blackwell, TX and Waldron Arkansas until the passing of his mother at the age of 10. He and his dad then came to Fluvanna where he attended school until they moved to Dell City, TX. . While there he met and married Daisy Lewis, his wife of 46 years and mother of his three daughters; Renetta Collier, Danita Covey, and Lorinda Hardin.

When Bob was offered the job at the Jordan ranch he moved his family back to Fluvanna where he worked and raised his family. He loved the ranch life but was quick to inform you he had no use for the farming part of his job, farming was boring and he'd much rather be riding one of his horses through the pastures. To sit watching his cattle on the wheat field was the prettiest picture a man could ask for. Coming to Fluvanna as a young man he was blessed to live out his life in the most beautiful place on earth.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Grace Jordan, his first wife Daisy, a grandson Tucker Collier, one brother and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife Peggy of the home, three daughters, Renetta Collier, Danita Covey and Lorinda Hardin all of Snyder. Five grandchildren, Bronc and Becky Collier of Snyder, Jackie Beccue and husband Miles Elsey of San Marcos, TX., Jaci and Michael Virnau of Fayetteville, TX., Jordan and Brian Mc Adams of Coppell, TX., and Rankin Hardin of Austin, TX. as well as eight great-grandchildren, one sister, Jeannene Carmichael of Georgetown, TX., along with a host of nieces and nephews.

The family request your donations be made to your favorite charity.

There will be a private graveside service and no visitation will be held.
