Mr. Robert Aaron Lewis was born on July 23, 1933 in Westbrook, Texas to Jeff Welborn Lewis and Jewel A. Morris. He passed away December 18, 2020 at Hendrick Hospice after a lengthy illness.
Service for Mr. Lewis will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2 o'clock PM at New Life Ministries Church in Colorado City, TX. with Reverend James Williams officiating. Internment will follow at Westbrook Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
He married Frankie Jean Williams on June 7, 1955. They have four children. Robert Aaron Lewis, Jr. (Bobby), Shirley Jean Sanderson, Jeffrey Clay Lewis, and Terry Wayne Lewis, Thirteen grandchildren and Sixteen great grandchildren.
He was very active in his church and his hobbies included fiddle making and he was known as the West Texas fiddle maker. He had several articles written about him. He collected coins, enjoyed gardening, arrow head hunting and snake hunting. He resided in Colorado City, TX and retired from Mitchell County.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frankie Jean Lewis of 52 years and two sons, Robert Lewis, Jr. and Jeff Lewis and Two brothers, Thomas Edward Lewis and James Marion Lewis.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Ray Sanderson of Big Spring, TX son and daughter-in-law Terry and Michelle Lewis of Rockport, TX. Two sisters, Mary Beth Morren of Colorado City, TX and Mattie Helen Eiden of Colorado City, TX and special friend Yvonne Lacy of Huntsville, TX.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 7 PM Monday, December 21, 2020 at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
