Roger Dale Weaver

July 3, 1946 — August 7, 2023

Roger Dale Weaver was born on July 3rd,1946 in the small town of Nocona, TX to A.C. and Bonnie Weaver. Roger peacefully departed this world on August 7th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of tenderness, love and generosity.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Colonial Hill Baptist Church with Mr. Jerry Webb officiating assisted by Pastor Reid Johnson, Mr. Brandon Weaver, and Mr. Jeremy Reed. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.

Roger graduated from Snyder High School in 1964 and then graduated from Hardin Simmons University in 1968 with a degree in Biology. Embarking on his career, he began working for Johnson and Johnson where he showcased his talents and dedication. However, Roger's entrepreneurial spirit kicked in leading him to cofound Weaver Wireline, later to become WSI Cased Hole Specialist, alongside his father, AC Weaver and father-in-law, Lester Moore.

Through WSI, Roger had the opportunity to forge relationships across most of the United States, making lasting impressions on those he encountered. He always said that some of his greatest friendships were the men he met in the oilfield. He remained close friends with many of them until his death.

Family was very important to Roger. He and Treva Moore Hawthorne had three beautiful children, Stephanie, Brandon, and Andy. Later in life, Roger married Cathy Reed (Minton) with whom he shared 24 wonderful years. Roger gained two bonus sons, Tanner and Jeremy Reed from this marriage, whom he loved very much.

Roger was a tender and caring soul who was known for his nurturing nature and the love he poured into gardening and caring for his own pets and pretty much any other animal he came in contact with. He will be remembered for his gentle and tender spirit, always displaying immense generosity to those around him. He loved snow skiing and the beautiful mountains and rivers of Colorado and New Mexico. To be part of Roger's life was to experience a warmth and kindness that was truly extraordinary. Roger's ability to make others feel cherished was a gift that we will all cherish.

Roger is survived by his mother Bonnie of Snyder, devoted wife Cathy of Snyder, his children, Stephanie Martin and husband Keith of Snyder, Brandon Weaver and wife Allison of Bluff Dale, Andy Weaver and wife Melody of Snyder, Jeremy Reed of Lubbock, and Tanner Reed of Odessa. He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Rand Martin and wife Claire, Mattie Martin, Ely Martin, Jax Weaver and Ike Weaver.

Roger was preceded in death by his father AC Weaver and sister Dana Henderson.

May your memory of Roger inspire you to be a kinder and gentler soul and to love others more deeply.
