Sandra Graves, age 85, of Snyder, TX, died December 3, 2021 at GoodLife Assisted Living due to multiple health issues.

A Graveside service for Mrs. Graves will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Hillside Memorial Gardens officiated by Mr. Mike Dennis. Services are under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Graves was born on March 7, 1936 in Navarro County to Ruby Byron and Doris Mae (Gunn) Comer. While in high school, Sandra’s family moved to Scurry County during the height of the oil boom. She married Wesley ‘PeeWee’ Graves on August 13, 1953 in Corsicana, TX and they spent their entire married life together in Snyder.

Sandra began her adult life as a wife and homemaker and served as a Girl Scout leader for 7 years. She began attending college after her children were older and was awarded a B.S in Secondary Education from Texas Tech University in 1972. She then taught for Borden County ISD for 6 years. After leaving the field of education, Sandra began studying photography which led to her owning and operating Graves Country Studio for 7 years. She later obtained her real estate license and worked for a time as an agent for Stephenson Real Estate.

Sandra was an avid reader with a house full of books. She served on the Scurry County Library Board for 4 years and as a volunteer for the United Way and American Cancer Society.

Hannah Mayo, Soldotna AK

Somer Love and husband Mark, Murphy TX

Trace Dennis and wife Spiwe, Wylie TX

Kimberly Kirby, Colorado City TX

Natalie Najera and husband Miguel, Lubbock TX

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Milton Comer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 9 AM - 10 AM at Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.
