It is with deep sorrow and great love that we mourn the passing of Sharon Gail Binyon. On Saturday, June 17, 2023, Sharon entered the gates of Heaven at age 67 with her family at her side.
Sharon was born in Lubbock, Texas on March 19, 1956, to Rayburn and Shirley Payne and as the sister of Gary and Pamela. In 1973 while at Odessa High School in Odessa, Texas, Sharon met the love of her life Daniel Binyon. His best friend lived across the street from the burger joint she worked at, and the rest was history. They married on September 25, 1973, and were blessed with nearly 50 years of marriage.
Sharon and Daniel were blessed with their beloved son Shea on September 19, 1979, and the family moved to Austin, Texas in 1987, where they lived until they moved to Houston in 2020.
Sharon will be remembered lovingly by family and friends as a genuine, kind, and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved drinking coffee, coke, chicken fried steak, and was the sweetest and kind-hearted woman, except for on the family game night, when her fierce competitive side came out and she had no problem letting us know who’s boss. She loved on people with hugs and kisses and smiles. She called them and had long conversations about any and everything. She opened her house to countless family and friends. More than once, she lovingly and patiently sat with people and prayed over them as they took their final breaths. The family was everything to Sharon, and she loved with her whole heart.
Sharon was welcomed into Heaven by her parents Rayburn and Shirley Payne. She will be deeply missed by her husband Daniel Binyon, their son Shea, daughter in law Marissa, their grandchildren Kaylee, Chase, Brody, Avery, and Colt, her siblings Gary and Pamela, nieces and nephews Christee, Corey, Misti, Shana, Brandon, Justin, and many great nieces and nephews, countless family and friends, and her little dog Jax.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder, Texas, with Hospice Chaplain Kinney Robinson officiating.
